When passing CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS a url-encoded string in order to use Content-Type:
application/x-www-form-urlencoded, you can pass a string directly:
<?php
curl_setopt(CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, 'field1=value&field2=value2');
?>
rather than passing the string in an array, as in fred at themancan dot com's example.
