I encourage anyone with questions regarding the last few posts, TEST IT YOURSELF.
Running the following code:
<?php
echo date('Y-m-d H:i:s T'), "\n";
echo time(), "\n";
echo mktime(), "\n";
echo gmmktime(), "\n";
?>
produces the following for me:
2009-04-02 23:36:34 PDT
1238740594
1238740594
1238740594
