The issue described by arie below is not actually a bug, but expected behaviour. The PCRE Regular Expression Details says: "The definition of letters and digits is controlled by PCRE's character tables, and may vary if locale-specific matching is taking place. For example, in the "fr" (French) locale, some character codes greater than 128 are used for accented letters, and these are matched by \w." ---- Server IP: 72.55.140.6 Probable Submitter: 76.70.102.4 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.preg-replace.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/90143 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90143/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90143/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90143/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90143/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90143/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90143/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90143 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/90143 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
