xml2array() function below is inconsistent with the default values given. with deep XML structures,
the attributes fail to be represented in the result array correctly. i've changed:
$priority='', and the result array is a bit larger, but the attributes are correctly
represented.
thanks for the function though, works great for what I need it for.
