A clarification to Russell's note below: PHP will translate the STRINGS 'false' and '0.0' as true because they are strings which aren't empty. The 'false' example is noted in the 'Converting to Boolean' section. However, if one uses the FLOAT of 0.0, it will correctly be interpreted as false. ---- Server IP: 209.41.74.194 Probable Submitter: 216.75.224.195 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.boolean.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/90170 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90170/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90170/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90170/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90170/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90170/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90170/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/90170 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/90170 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
