Note Submitter: buddha at avlis dot org ---- Another good local development package for the web designer on the move is the Modular Webserver System (MoWeS). The basic package is free and provides you with the AMP from LAMP -- Apache, MySQL and PHP. You can install it on removable media such as a thumb drive or external drive (or even on your hard drive if you wish) and it will run from there independently; meaning that you can plug it into ANY computer and fire up your local webserver. It also has a large collection of software that you can select when you make your original package that integrates well, such as PHPMyAdmin, phpBB, mediawiki and others. A fairly simple design tool, free and easy to install. http://www.mowes.chsoftware.net/
