note 14049 added to ref.mail.php

when I use the follwing.
mail ($mailto, $subject, $message, "From:$sender");
where $message is from a text field in an HTML form, it seems to escape all character's
correctly but also escapes the single quote [']
What am I doing wrong? I thought I did not have to parse strings for this function to work.
