I'm not sure if it is supposed to be mentionned here, but the French documentation is inacurate and this can lead to misunderstanding of this function.. $regs[0] will contain a copy of the complete string matched. is translated as $regs[0] contiendra une copie complète de la chaîne. So this lacks the "matched" word. So I thought $regs[0] contained the original string, and not the matched one...
