hum, it seems that your function "theRealStripTags" won't have the right behavior in
some cases, for example:

theRealStripTags("<!-- I want to put a <div>tag</div> -->");
theRealStripTags("<!-- Or a carrot > -->");
theRealStripTags("<![CDATA[what about this! It's to protect from HTML characters like
<tag>, > and so on in XML, no?]]> -->");
