Be careful when following Salil Kothadia's suggestion of using http_build_query with
CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS.
As pinkgothic at gmail dot com explains on the http_build_query page: "Be careful if
you're assuming that arg_separator defaults to '&'." For example, XAMPP
changes the default in PHP.ini to '& amp' which may cause hours of frustration when
trying to resolve failed form submissions.
