Note Submitter: Richard Williams ---- I'd like to thank terminal for the note on using fsockopen for SMTP. There are a couple of small changes required. In both routines, the test for more bytes should read if ($bytes_left['unread_bytes'] > 0) { $response .= fread($handle, $bytes_left["unread_bytes"]); } and the full response needs $response=fgets($handle); of $response=fgets($handle,256); again in both routines. That said, the original contribution has saved me a great deal of work.
