on win32 /PHP 5.2.9 / apache 2.0 service
is_dir($fullPath) sometimes does not work even
is_readable and filetype($fullPath) work On those systems it seems that fileowner and filesize,
stat and so on have the same problem.
...so better than use is_dir on this os, use
if( filetype($yourFullPath)=="dir" ){
// put your code eq for is_dir check, here
}.
or similar.
I think is a an apache running user related problem, as in accesing win32 shares ( http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/platform/windows.html
) "The LocalSystem account has no privileges to your network via any Windows-secured mechanism,
including the file system, named pipes, DCOM, or secure RPC. It has, however, wide privileges
locally" .
So maybe the locally privileges are not so wide
