To all those using the phpmyadmin files zip.lib.php and unzip.lib.php I would recommend using
another method.
I use this method at the moment, and one issues I find is that there is a header mismatch resulting
in corrupted files with some zip files.
This is a strange bug with the class, I can create a zip file on one PC that you can extract fine
using the PC, but if using the php class, it gets corrupted. I can then use another PC with exactly
the same setup, and have no problems.
I contacted the project about this bug, and it looks like it has been there for some time, they do
not know the issue and have abandoned this class in ver 3.0 using the php in built functions
instead.
This problem had me running in circles for days before I realised there was nothing wrong, and the
classes do not like some zip files.
If you are using these classes you need to understand that there may be a point when it does not
extract files correctly. The resulting error you get is
'Error in ZIP archive: Compressed size is not equal with the value in header
information.'
