I see the pound (#) comment used the least in scripts. I use it a lot though. I find it to be more noticeable (four scrunched up lines over two spaced out ones), much faster to type (a quick tap of the # key at the start plus the down & left keys and you're ready to comment out the next line, as opposed to two taps of the / key plus the down key & two taps of the left key), it is one byte less (not important, but hey, thought I'd mention the obvious, too), and it does not share meaning with any other operators (// is two division signs). I support the pound sign. ### ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.197 Probable Submitter: 75.71.216.105 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.basic-syntax.comments.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/92468 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92468/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92468/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92468/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92468/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92468/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92468/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/92468 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/92468 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
