Note if you require a file without opening/closing php tags the contents of that file will get echo'd to the browser. eg database.php $dbh=mysql_connect ("localhost", "username", "password") or die('Cannot connect to the database because: ' . mysql_error()); process.php require_once('/home/account/database.php'); Running process.php in your browser will echo information you probably don't want echo'd.
