We (do our best to) delete any note that references or replies to
another note in the manual. In your case, it was marked as "rejected"
so that you would receive an email with instructions on how to report
- as a bug at http://bugs.php.net/ - what you've found to be
erroneous. As is stated in several places, the user notes are not a
place to report bugs, and they are not to be used as a forum (which
includes replies to other notes).
If you report the errant user note contribution - complete with a
direct link - at http://bugs.php.net/ as a "Documentation
Problem," an
editor will investigate and determine what action, if any, should be
taken.
And in any case, thanks a lot for your time and effort in
contributing to the PHP manual. Keeping up with it all is hard work,
for sure, and we rely on folks such as yourself in the community to
help us make sure it's the best it can be.
