Why Regular Expressions to be deprecated??
It's very powerful and useful feature in applications!!
Please, save the POSIX REGEXP functions!!
[Ed. Note: This does not mean that regular expressions are deprecated as a whole, only that the
POSIX regular expressions are being deprecated in favour of PCRE regular expressions. In the general
case, the PCRE regex extension is faster, has a more powerful syntax, and will handle the
Unicode-enabled nature of PHP 6 better than the older POSIX regex extension.]
