lamb dot dan's function calculateFiscalYearForDate didn't work properly for me until
making the following 3 changes:
/* added slash to separate month & year */
$fystartdate = strtotime($fyStart.'/'.$inputyear);
/* added slash to separate month & year */
$fyenddate = strtotime($fyEnd.'/'.$inputyear);
/* added = to allow for a date of 6/30 */
if($date <= $fyenddate){
