__construct doesn't actually *quite* throw an exception on error when using windows, or rather, PHP and I have different definitions of error. For example, the following examples emit warnings: <?php new DateTime('johnny'); new DateTime('20-20-20'); new DateTime('2'); new DateTime('this is not a datetime'); ?> *big sigh* ---- Server IP: 208.69.120.35 Probable Submitter: 216.161.168.31 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/datetime.construct.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/94047 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94047/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94047/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94047/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94047/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94047/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94047/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94047 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/94047 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
