If you want a parsed variable surrounded by curly braces, don't jump through the hoops strata_ranger at hotmail dot com suggested. Instead, just double the curly braces: <?php $foo = "bar"; echo "{{$foo}}"; ?> will just show {bar}. The { is special only if followed by the $ sign and matches one }. In this case, that applies only to the inner braces. The outer ones are not escaped and pass through directly. ---- Server IP: 213.249.64.162 Probable Submitter: 92.70.234.212 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.string.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/94159 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94159/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94159/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94159/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94159/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94159/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94159/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94159 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/94159 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
