this does not check for the @deprecated doc comment, but instead returns true for a PHP core
deprecated function.
If you want to test for a function marked with the @deprecated doc comment, you can simply use
if( false === strstr($method->getDocComment(), '@deprecated') ) {
// function/method marked as deprecated
}
