On Centos 5, and maybe other Red Hat based systems, any attempt to use file_get_contents to access a URL on an http port other than 80 (e.g. "http://www.example.com:8040/page") may fail with a permissions violation (error 13) unless the box you are running php on has its seLinux set to 'permissive' not 'enforcing' . Otherwise the request doesn't even get out of the box, i.e. the permissions violation is generated locally by seLinux. ---- Server IP: 92.48.74.199 Probable Submitter: 81.168.22.209 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.file-get-contents.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/94303 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94303/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94303/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94303/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94303/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94303/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94303/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94303 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/94303 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
