I have used ereg_replace and other ereg(i) functions extensively up until now, but PHP announces
this function is now depreciated as of 5.3+. Can anyone suggest the best alternatives, ideally that
use the same arguments so I can simply change the name of the function in my hundreds of scripts
that use this.
