For turkish chars you can freely use this function.
function htmltext($pString){
$trans=get_html_translation_table(HTML_ENTITIES);
$trans["&"] = "&";
return strtr($pString,$trans);
}
but you have to change nls to br before using this function.exmpl.
$message = nl2br(htmltext($message));
