The text above says : SOCK_RAW Provides raw network protocol access. This special type of socket can be used to manually construct any type of protocol. A common use for this socket type is to perform ICMP requests (like ping, traceroute, etc). I dont see how it is possible to create a traceroute script with the SOCK_RAW, because i dont find a function to adjust the TTL of the outgoing packets. Also it seems only possible to use ICMP, TCP or UDP as protocols, so it would be inpossible to create youre own packet from scratch (with mac addresses etc and the layer 3 (ip) part). ---- Server IP: 91.199.167.18 Probable Submitter: 212.142.33.197 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.socket-create.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/94821 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94821/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94821/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94821/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94821/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94821/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94821/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/94821 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/94821 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
