My experience:
Two ways to download the certificate:
a) From https://www.myDomain.com with Firefox export in PEM
format
b) With openssl (for windows, download the openssl from http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/openssl.htm):
openssl s_client -connect www.myDomain.com:443
