For some reason I could not use date_default_timezone_set() on yahoo's servers so I found an
alternative.

$hours = -8; //The number of hours from GMT
$seconds = $hours * 60 * 60; //Number of seconds in $hours
$stamp = time() + $seconds;
$date = date('n/j/y g:i:s A \P\S\T', $stamp);
echo $date;
?>
