There seem to be two be two methods of preventing direct access to files suggested here: (1) scripts
being stored above the document root and (2) htaccess controls
Apparently either of these options might not be available on a given server.
Is it sensible to apply both methods by default and is there any reason not to?
Thanks,
A. Noob
