I tried converting hard UTF-8 Patterns, and searched desperately for a version of str_replace() that could handle UTF-8. This saved my day: http://www.phpwact.org/php/i18n/utf-8 str_replace Official documentation: str_replace Risk: none So long as all arguments used are ***well formed UTF-8***, no problems. This works because *every complete character sequence in a UTF-8 string is unique* (cannot be mistaken as part of a longer sequence). ---- Server IP: 212.69.189.114 Probable Submitter: 90.146.58.218 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.str-replace.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/95641 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95641/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95641/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95641/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95641/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95641/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95641/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/95641 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/95641 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
