POPULAR PROBLEM WITH PHPMYADMIN UNDER WINDOWS XP: cannot load mcrypt extension. please check your
php configuration:
Let's say you have your php installed on d:\php
1. in your php.ini (which you have to place in c:\windows) uncomment:
extension=php_mcrypt.dll
and set path to directory with php extensions
extension_dir = "d:\php\ext"
2. Copy all the *.dll files from d:\php to your c:\windows and c:\windows\system32 direstories
Restart server, phpMyAdmin should have no problems now.
