Checking of method existence posted by dreake at example dot com is too complicated.
There is more easy way to check method existence in class or object, it's method_exists()
function available in php runtime.

$arrayObject = new ArrayObject();
var_dump(method_exists($arrayObject, 'seek'));
var_dump(method_exists('SeekableIterator', 'seek'));
