"Assumes @localhost" IS INCORRECT. (In response to php dot 5 dot leenoble at
SPAMMENOTspamgourmet dot net).
var_dump(filter_var('yourname', FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL));
returns bool(false).
I'm not sure where you came up with the "it assumes @localhost" information, but
that's wrong.
