regarding jon at gettys dot org's nice XML to Object code, I've made some useful changes
(IMHO) to the characterData function... my minor modifications allow multiple lines of data and it
escapes quotes so errors don't occur in the eval...
function characterData($parser, $data)
{
global $obj;
$data = addslashes($data);
eval($obj->tree."->data.='".$data."';");
}
