note 96876 added to mysql.installation

Hello... I'm sorry if this is a newbie question, but I am trying to setup mysql with php, but I do not know how to compile php to get the right php_mysql.dll file? I am using php 5.2.13 and mysql is 5.1.45. I tried using php_5.2.0_mysqli_5.0.27-win32.zip i found somewhere which contained php_mysqli.dll and libmysql.dll but apache always crashes.
