In response to the HTML formatting function just before this one, it tends to be a little simpler
just to use <pre> tags:
<?php
echo '<pre>'.var_export($cocktail_ingredients, true).'</pre>';
?>
Or use CSS - white-space: pre; in a tag's style attribute or in a CSS file.
