It's not true that this library does not support sorting by more than one field. Apparently the
sorting is stable, so you just have to call it more than once in reverse order:
<?php
# sort by sn, THEN by givenname:
ldap_sort($ldap, $result, 'givenname');
ldap_sort($ldap, $result, 'sn');
?>
I'm using PHP 5.2.6
