I have to correct eric at devotia dot com a bit, because domainnames are restricted in some weird, tld depending way. Some TLDs allow special chars like umlauts, others allow only ascii - so there is no way of ensuring syntactically correctness of a hostname, because there are only a few chars, wich are never allowed - i guess, a \w will do. Furthermore, the @ is allowed as userpart of the emailaddress, in fact, at least one (1) char has to be given, no matter which one. ---- Server IP: 217.160.235.204 Probable Submitter: 89.144.0.253 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.preg-match.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/97356 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/97356/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/97356/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/97356/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/97356/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/97356/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/97356/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/97356 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/97356 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
