I am running PHP Version 5.3.1
The following is my very simple script:
<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED);
class SomeClass {
function SomeClass() {
}
}
$class =& new SomeClass();
?>
And I still get the error:
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in
/opt/lampp/htdocs/test.php on line 9
Am I doing something terribly wrong???
It's really fustrating that the PHP developers would introduce such a deprecated features
without providing a way for many projects to disable these errors until they can work through all
their code!
