Note Submitter: conryf at gmail dot com ---- I would like to note that using Ubuntu (debian) I had the same problem mentioned above with permission being denied. My solution was just as bogusred suggested above, with one minor change, he said to chown the relevant directory to nobody, but php in my version runs under www-data, thus: chown -R www-data . worked!
