If you do need to send GET parameters - another way around is to use url rewriting - mod_rewrite
(Apache)/ ISAPI Rewrite (IIS).
http://www.example.com/var1/var2/var3
then rewrite as:
^([a-zA-Z0-9]+)/([a-zA-Z0-9]+)/([a-zA-Z0-9]+)$ /myscript.php?var1=$1&var2=$2&var3=$3
