In respect of forcestudios.square7.de - a maybe even slightly easier way to get the mentioned
security in your "*.ini.php"-files without reinventing the wheel ...
You could use something like this as first line of your ini-file and then use parse_ini_file() as
usual (browser will only see the ";"):
; <?php exit(); __halt_compiler();
