as martijn said, it doesn't always work the way it is supposed to
on my local machine it works fine
(ImageMagick 6.5.1-0 2009-08-27 Q16 OpenMP, php imagick module 2.1.1-rc1)
on a server i upload some sites it creates thumbs without cropping, as if
$im->thumbnailImage($x,$y,false) was called
(ImageMagick 6.5.5-10 2009-11-05 Q16 OpenMP, php imagick module 2.3.0)
