note that "SELECT <timestamp-field>, ..." will return the field with type 7 (timestamp) but with content like "2010-07-14 14:35:08". the point being it is a string. "SELECT <timestamp-field> + 0, ..." returns a type 5 (double) but while a number, is not seconds since epoch, but a number in MySQL's "YYYYMMDDHHMMSS" format, in this example: 20100714143508 (PHP 5.2.12) ---- Server IP: 203.169.204.174 Probable Submitter: 218.102.67.34 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/mysqli-result.fetch-field-direct.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/99302 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/99302/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/99302/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/99302/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/99302/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/99302/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/99302/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/99302 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/99302 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
