PHP beginners like me should note that browsers other than IE are fussy about paths used in
sessions. I was using a modified freeware Captcha routine that was setting a $_SESSION variable but
the mailer was not getting the value in Firefox etc although it worked in IE.
Solved by changing the form from
<form action="captcha/formnewf.php" method="post">
to
<form action="http://mysite.co.uk/captcha/formnewf.php"
method="post">
