when installing PHP3 as a statically compiled Apache module (eg. as in the Quick Installation
Instructions), remember to append the line "AddModule mod_php3.c" at the end of the list
of modules, otherwise Apache will not handle the PHP3 files through it. Instead, it will
pass them to the browser as "application/x-httpd-php3" mime type files, causing your
browser to prompt you to download the file, or visit some external applications repository, or ...
I just experienced this headache :-(
