Note that as mentioned, __FILE__ resolves any aliases. Other real path information, such as
$_SERVER["SCRIPT_FILENAME"], doesn't.
__FILE__ => /volume1/web/mysite/admin/inc/includeFile.inc.php
$_SERVER["SCRIPT_FILENAME"] => /var/services/web/mysite/admin/products.php
If you need to compare one with the other, use
realpath($_SERVER["SCRIPT_FILENAME"])
