I spent several hours in debuggging a strange session problem.
My website that uses sessions for login and language selection worked perfectly with Firefox or
Chrome but not with IE9. (I did not tried with earlier versions.)
Even more strange was that it also worked with IE9 at localhost using XAMPP but not at the hosted
site.
Finally it turned out that the problem was I used underscore (_) in the subdomain name.
(e.g. "test_mysite.example.com" )
It turned out that underscore is not standard in domain name and IE seems to be more strict in this
than the other.
