I had a similar issue.
My enviroment is
- Windows7
- Apache 2.2
- php 5.3.6
- mysql 5.0.18
I installed Apache, then php, then mysql.
I configured Apache to load php5 module (php5apache2_2.dll).
I configured php to search extension in the default directory (done this by removing comment from
default windows setting - extension_dir has to be = "ext")
I enabled mysql and mysqli extension in php.ini
I set in environment PATH the php and mysql/bin paths.
Now this is what i got: apache run fine, php run fine, but i couldnt see mysql/mysqli rows in php
info, and every mysql_XXX call gave me a fatal error.
The most strange thing for me was i saw the extension correctly loaded by launching
php.exe -m
And i also could locate the function with
php.exe --rf mysql_connect
MY solution was ADD
PHPIniDir "your/path/to/php"
in your htconf! This is an apache/php related issue and not just a .ini php configuration. Never had
this problem with previous version of php.
Hope it helps
