This function is not available in PHP 4 (if for, whatever reason, you're still using that).
Simple workaround:
<?PHP
$var = str_replace(strtoupper("replacethis"),strtoupper("withthis"),$inthis);
?>
Common sense really, but for those who aren't aware of this and using an old PHP version.
