transparancy problem suggested by "admin at wdfa dot co dot uk" didn't worked in my
case
but i was able to load a png with alpha channel following:
$backgroundimage = 'resource/googleMarker.png';
$image = imagecreatefrompng($backgroundimage);
$color_transparency = imagecolorallocatealpha($image, 0, 0, 0, 127);
imagefill($image, 0, 0, $color_transparency);
imageSaveAlpha($image, true);
my output was then:
header('Content-type: image/png');
imagepng($image);
imagedestroy($image);
